Relaunch * Twin Cities Wedding Photographer

As you can see above, we now have a countdown timer marking the minutes until we relaunch this business with a new logo, website, and more!  Additionally, there will be 2 huge giveaways worth hundreds of dollars each!

Between now and then, blog posting will be limited due to a large volume of editing and finishing up the website.  However, there will be plenty of posts coming up on the website- which will also contain a brand-new blog!

We can't wait to show you!

Black Friday Offers and Some Big News! * Twin Cities Wedding Photographer

Hi Friends!  Thanks for visiting our little blog.  Hope you all had an AMAZING Thanksgiving with loved ones.  We have so much to be thankful for.

We want to share some exciting news with you, decided upon after weeks of prayer and planning:

We are once again booking weddings!

Honestly, we are SO excited right now.  The story is long (as are most great stories) and we will share it in the near future.  No, we are not crazy, and yes, we have thought about this carefully.  If you know much about us, you know we run this business as surrendered to God.  Sometimes His plans are not ours.  This was a careful and calculated decision.  But for now, we just wanted to give you a heads up that we are once again available to capture your priceless moments on one of the biggest days of your life.

In addition, we wanted to share our big Black Friday offer!

Please note that, as we do our best to keep our prices very reasonable, we don't offer a lot of discounts.  If you are looking for a great deal, snap this one up!

Have a FANTASTIC holiday weekend!

Baby C * Albert Lea Newborn Photographer

This sweet little family just welcomed a precious, brand-new addition.  Baby C is perfect and tiny and such a blessing.  We didn't have a ton of time, but we still got some beautiful shots that we hope will be cherished memories.

Jeff & Jenna, Part 1 * Duluth Wedding Photographer

This season has been so full of amazing sessions that I am way behind in sharing them with you.  I have several photos that were given to their owners weeks and months ago that are still in line for sharing here.  Jeff and Jenna's day is one of those.

This wedding marked the first time I have ever been fired from a job.  The conversation went like this:

Jeff:  You guys have been doing an incredible job, but I'm going to have to fire you.
Nicole:  Excuse me?  Umm...
Jeff:  Well, we've finished all the main reception/dance events, and we don't really need anything else photographed until the bouquet toss, so you are fired now, and rehired then.  Go and enjoy yourselves!

And that was the basic attitude of this day- Jeff and Jenna were so thoughtful  of their guests, and just wanted everyone to have a great time.  This is seriously the most laid-back couple we've ever worked with, and it was totally reflective of them.  After they decided on a super edgy engagement session location, we weren't sure of what we'd find.  Oddly enough we ended up shooting a good chunk of their couple photos in a parking garage- and they were excited about it!

Please remember to leave a comment for the newlyweds- if they get 50 in 24 hours, they will receive a FREE 16x20 print!  Which shot would you choose?

7 Photos You Didn't Know You Needed * Make A List Monday

Every Monday, I will post a list that in some way relates to photography.  Upcoming subjects include Apparel Mistakes, What Doesn't Matter (In a Photo Shoot), Pictures You Shouldn't Miss, Unexpected Locations and many others.  I have learned so much from my clients since we began this business, and I am hoping to share it with you all.

This week I want to get us thinking outside the box.  We all know we need senior, family, and wedding pictures, but what are we missing?

  1. Anniversary Pictures-  I know literally dozens of couples who haven't had a professional picture together in ages.  Maybe your wedding photography has become outdated, and you want to try out some new couple poses.  Maybe you want to do this as a fantastic anniversary gift for your spouse.  Whatever the reason, you are sure to treasure the results forever.
  2. Grandkids picture- Have a professional session done of all the grandkids in your family.  Grandparents love these!  How many grandparents do you know that are difficult to find gifts for because they already have everything?  This may be the answer : )
  3. Holiday pictures-  Christmas pictures are great, but if your family has other cherished holidays, don't be afraid to incorporate that into a photo session!  My family loves the 4th of July, and I have been thinking about us incorporating flags and sparklers into a shoot at some point.
  4. Showers- as in wedding and baby.  Oftentimes, hours and hours of work and planning go into putting on a wedding or baby shower, and little if any of it is documented.  This is an occasion often full of emotion, and can highlight the relationships of family and friends.  Don't be afraid to hire a professional so you can enjoy the party yourself!
  5. Likewise, birthday parties are often elaborate affairs these days, with handmade decorations and carefully thought out favors.  Be sure to have someone available to document the hard work before in ends up in a storage tote or, worse yet, the garbage can.
  6. Maternity pictures-  I am thankful that these are gaining in popularity.  This is such a special and fleeting time, and it is something precious to capture on camera.  These are fast becoming one of my favorite kinds of sessions- I am grateful to have a few scheduled in the next couple of months!
  7. Birth pictures.  Newborn pictures are awesome, but don't forget about the birth itself.  Think about having someone document the actual event for you.  A professional photographer should be able to document your labor and delivery in a tasteful and flattering way.  What a memory to capture when you first see your baby!  (If you are interested, please don't hesitate to contact us- we love this kind of work!)

Baby A * Albert Lea Photographer

This little guy is about to turn one, and it was time for some pictures!  Our session included LOTS of crawling, tractors, and silly sounds to get his attention.
Mom wanted a couple of shots with his sisters in the process, so we included a few of them, too!

Adrie & Tony * Menomonie Maternity Photographer

Isn't this couple adorable?  They are expecting their 4th baby in December, and we had a great time documenting this time in their family.  We even got their little ones involved.  But, you'll have to check back for those shots- be ready for some serious cuteness!
