Prom 2010: Christian and Courtney

I wasn't planning on taking any pictures of Christian (see his senior pictures) and his prom date Courtney, but when I was asked to at the last minute, it was a pleasant surprise! We did them super quickly in my parents-in-law's back yard, and I liked them enough that I'd love to share them with you.

I love Courtney's jewelry.

Chris hanging out in the backyard. Yeah, he dresses like this all the time ; ).

Courtney looked beautiful in her stunning dress:

Look at all this intricate beading!

It's a Courtney-collage : )

Cute

Prom 2010: Chad and Destiny

I had the pleasure of photographing one of my brothers and his date for prom this year. If you follow the blog at all, you'll discover we have a LOT of family- and they need pictures, too! : )

Although I obviously know Chad well, this was only the second time I had met Destiny. She was sugary-sweet, and has a quick and sunshiny smile, so she was a joy to work with! Check out some of our results:

Out for a stroll down the road.

The forecast was for rain...

...but by the end of the shoot we had sun!

There's that beautiful smile again.

Chad playing the gentleman role:

I love this shot. It was the perfect time of year- lush green on the ground, exposed skeletal branches on the trees.

Christian's Senior Pictures

As promised, here are some more shots from Christian's senior portrait shoot. Although he has been living as an exchange student with Josh's parents, we had been in Africa until just a week before his senior session. Nonetheless, he showed his confidence and chill personality when he was completely relaxed and fun during our time with him.

As I mentioned before, Chris is in love with music- it seems like he's playing his guitar every time we see him!

Chris hails from Germany, where students only go to school through 10th grade, so even though he has "graduated" there school system, these were his first senior portraits.

Chris also enjoys basketball, and played for the school's team this past season.

Traveling through- kind of a life theme for him right now.

I completely love this shot:

...and these, too:

So totally vagabond:

More basketball:

Swish!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again- I ♥ these glasses- and check out that vest!

One last shot for the road:

Thanks so much, Chris, for allowing me to photograph your senior portraits. You were a joy to work with, and we are so happy to have you as part of the family!
