Ernest and Jaqueline

On December 19, 2009, Ernest and Jacqueline became the latest newlyweds in Rehoboth!!! I booked this wedding only 2 days before it took place, so there were lots of exciting surprises!

Ernest and Jacqueline were married on a sunshine-filled, scorching- hot, Namibian Saturday, a day made all the more beautiful by the love they share. Their friends and family couldn’t have been happier about them joining together, and weren’t shy about saying so. Although the entire ceremony and reception were in Afrikaans (a language in which I am not yet fluent), the look in this couple’s eyes told the whole story without regard to language barrier.

These first couple of shots were actually taken by my husband Josh, who is also my best (and only) assistant : ) One of the surprises we had was that I ended up doing the Bride's and Bridesmaid's hair and makeup, so that kept me busy for the initial part of our day.

The blushing bride : )

These were MANLY men- secure enough to wear pink!

The bride and her father, about to walk down the aisle.

The ceremony.

One of my favorites: the new Mr. and Mrs. walk out of the church.

They're married!!! I love the stained-glass cross in the background.

Congratulations Ernest and Jaqcueline! Please check back soon for more pics of their special day.
