A Princess in a Wonderland

Josh and I adore this little girl. We have a relationship that is difficult to describe, and so I won't even try here. We love and treasure her, and enjoy spoiling her- just a little : ) This week she has been staying with us in Wisconsin, and we are crazy-overjoyed to have her here. We went for a little adventure to see an ice waterfall recently, and took a few shots along the way. [Special Note: We will be revealing photos from an engagement session at this location soon! You won't wnat to miss them.] I just love this kid : ) Look at those beautiful eyes!Love this. She's in a silly stage right now : P Like I said before, a little silly.
I hear people complaining about winter all the time, and asking why we live here. Even though the answer is usually "Family," and they are definitely important, maybe winter's not so bad. Maybe we have just forgotten the magic of winter, as seen through the eyes of a child. This shot got snow all over my camera- but it was totally worth it!

Thoreson Family * Rice Lake Family Photographer

Mary is a classmate of mine, and Josh and I had the opportunity to trek out to her family's lovely home for some fun family pictures. I love photographing people, especially children, at their home because it's where life happens. It is real and honest and spontaneous. The three precious grandkids are the lights of this family, and are obviously loved so much! They were adorable and energetic, and picturesque in their little Christmas outfits.

Isn't she just beautiful?

There is something about these precious little faces that just reminds me of the magic of Christmas...

I love this shot, because it looks like the little guy is looking around to see if anyone else got a better present : )

A special thank you to the Thoreson family for spending your afternoon with us!

Smith Sisters * Wisconsin Family Photographer

This was my first opportunity to photograph a group of sisters, and it was such a blast! I hope this can become a regular part of my work. Of course, the fabulous Smith sisters were really what made it great, and we had such a good time out in the woods and in the middle of the road. They were charming and beautiful and ready for anything- a perfect combination in my book!
